Q.			I've never flown a drone, can I take a course?
			A.	Don't worry, many of our students have no previous drone experience. The training is conducted by professional pilots with a wealth of instructor experience and flying experience, who are kind and attentive.

Q.			How many students are enrolled in one drone training course?
			A.	The flight training is for 4-5 students per instructor. The maximum number of students for classroom lectures is 40. Classroom lectures can also be taken online. Please feel free to contact us.

Q.			Is the course held only on weekdays?
			A.	You are free to choose the dates if you wish. Please feel free to contact us.

Q.			Is it possible to have a drone course held on a business trip?
			A.	Depending on the schedule, location, and number of participants, it is possible to hold a drone course on a business trip. However, JUIDA certified courses cannot be held on business trips in principle.

Q.			Can I buy a drone at the school?
			A.	Our school's operating company, Rentacom Hokkaido Co., Ltd. is a secondary agency of DJI JAPAN, so it can be sold. However, depending on the model, it may take some time for delivery. It is possible to hand over the purchased drone after performing initial settings such as activation and operation check. We also rent drones at Rentacom Hokkaido. Please feel free to contact us.

About Course

Q.			Is there an age limit for taking the course?
			A.	JUIDA certification course is 16 years old or older. In addition, minors will need a parental consent form when applying for a certificate to JUIDA. * Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Safety Operations Manager is over 20 years old

Q.			Can an old person with no drone piloting experience take the course?
			A.	Many older students have taken the course, but they are able to fly at the end of the course. The course is conducted in coach mode, where the instructor's transmitter has priority, so you can take the course with peace of mind.

Q.			Can I take a course only for flight training?
			A.	To safely operate a drone, it is necessary to acquire a variety of knowledge including laws and regulations. We cannot accept only practical training. Classroom lectures are also required. However, this does not apply to "Drone piloting skill-up training".

Q.			Can I take the exam only once? What happens if I fail?
			A.	If you fail the exam, you may take a follow-up exam as long as there is time on the day of the exam. If you still fail the test, you may have to take a make-up test. However, most students will pass the exam on the same day.

Q.			What should I wear on the day of the course?
			A.	There are no specific requirements. You are welcome to wear anything that is easy to move around in. However, outdoor training may be conducted, so please come dressed for the cold.

Q.			In which mode does the transmitter(controller) conduct the training?
			A.	Basically, the training will be conducted in Mode 2, but Mode 1 is also available upon request. If you wish to use Mode 1, please let us know at the time of application or on the day of the course.

Q.			I have no knowledge of aviation laws, etc. Can I follow the course?
			A.	The course basically requires no prerequisite knowledge. The course provides basic knowledge of drones and regulations, so you can take the course with peace of mind.

Q.			Can I fly my own drone in flight training?
			A.	The drone used for flight training must be owned by the school.

Q.			Can I use the subsidy system for the course?
			A.	The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's subsidies for human resource development support are available. However, there are conditions for receiving the subsidy, so please check the details in advance. Since the subsidy is available only to employees, the employer himself/herself and company officers are not eligible for the subsidy. For details, please contact the Hokkaido Labor Bureau.

Q.			What is included in the course fee?
			A.	This fee covers textbooks, use of the drone for practical training, use of the practical training venue, and the final examination fee. There is a separate application fee for JUIDA certificates and an annual membership fee for JUIDA individual members (associate members). Pilot's license: JPY22,000, Safe Operation Manager: JPY16,500, Associate Member annual membership fee: JPY5,000 *All fees include tax.

Q.			What payment methods are available?
			A.	Bank transfer, credit card, and invoice payment are available.

Q.			When is the deadline for payment?
			A.	In principle, advance payment is required. Please make payment at least 3 days prior to the first day of class. If you wish to pay later, please contact us.

Q.			What happens if I have an accident during the course?
			A.	We will be responsible for any accidents that occur during the course. However, if the student is grossly negligent or the accident is intentional, we may claim compensation from the student. In the event of an accident caused by the student's gross negligence or willful misconduct, we may claim compensation from the student for damages.

Q.			What is the drone information session (free of charge)?
			A.	After an explanation of drone-related knowledge and laws, participants can try their hand at piloting a toy drone. Small children are welcome to participate as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Q.			Can I get a lot of help and support after graduation?
			A.	We will support you. From how to choose a drone for business use to how to fill out the necessary flight application forms. Please feel free to contact us for consultation regarding drones.

Q.			After taking the course and obtaining the certificate, can I fly abroad?
			A.	Laws differ from country to country, so we cannot judge whether you can or cannot fly a drone. If you wish to fly a drone overseas, please be sure to check the laws of that country in advance. In some cases, you may be required to obtain the necessary certifications in advance.
